Seek after learning for the sake of your wellbeing
Mirimiri and Romiromi are traditional Māori healing practices that restore balance, energy flow, and wellbeing. These holistic therapies combine bodywork with spiritual, emotional, and psychological healing, helping to release tension, pain, and trauma while supporting the body’s natural ability to heal.

How Can rongoā Māori Help?
Mirimiri and Romiromi are effective for pain relief, mobility issues, and emotional release. They work holistically to address not just physical discomfort but also wairua (spirit), mauri (life force), and past trauma. By clearing blockages, your body can regain vitality, balance, and self-healing potential.
Is Romiromi/ Mirimiri Right for You?
Romiromi and Mirimiri work on all aspects of your hauora (wellbeing) and can help with:
✅ Muscle tension, back pain, knee pain, sciatica
✅ Migraines, headaches, spinal misalignment
✅ Digestive issues (IBS, bloating, cramping)
✅ Anxiety, burnout, PTSD, emotional distress
✅ Menstrual disorders, hormonal imbalances, endometriosis
If you are unsure if this a healing modality for you, please feel free to reach out to us or Hera directly.

What is Romiromi?
Romiromi is a deeper bodywork-based healing practice that helps release accumulated emotional, psychological, and spiritual energy stored within the body. It works at a cellular level, clearing inherited trauma passed through whakapapa (genealogy). By releasing these energetic imprints, Romiromi supports physical healing, emotional resilience, and holistic wellbeing.
What is Mirimiri?
Mirimiri is a gentle yet powerful Māori healing practice that works to energise and invigorate the body. It clears burdens, stress, and emotional blockages while promoting deep relaxation and alignment.
What to Expect in sessions
Sessions last around one hour and begin with a whitiwhiti kōrero (consultation) to discuss what you’re ready to work through -whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. Traditional healing methods such as karakia, takutaku, and waiata may be used.
To prepare:
-
Wear loose, comfortable clothing
-
Avoid eating a heavy meal beforehand
-
Allow time to rest and integrate the healing after your session
As this is a deep healing practice, you may experience emotional shifts. We recommend having support systems in place -whether family, friends, or professional support.
